Alentejo
The Alentejo is a vast area to the East of Lisbon, stretching down to the
Algarve in the South. It has some of Portugals oldest and finest growers
- very hot and dry with vines sharing the land with olives and cork oaks.
Flattish rolling plains with steep mountains in the North of the region provides
a vast variation in wines produced.
